That 2019 MBP 16-Inch Speakers Popping Issue…

I posted this earlier and it showed up in the Garageband section of the forum. It's not a Garageband question; it's a system question. If someone wants to delete it from the Garageband section, that would probably be best. Sorry, it's my first day.

Brand new 2019 MacBook Pro 16 Inch - just picked up at end of December 2019

Catalina 10.15.3

I'm having the same prob that so many others are having with the system speakers popping when stopping or starting video playback on certain sites like Youtube or Vimeo.

And I'm having another speaker issue which maybe other peoples' machines have but which they haven't discovered yet.

Garageband > New Project > Software Instrument with "I hear sound from: MacBook Pro Speakers" selected > set it up so I have two tracks > Musical Typing > I play a few notes and it sounds great.

But then I change either Output Device or Input Device (from "System Setting" to "MacBook Pro Speakers" or "MacBook Pro Microphone" or vice-versa) and then when I play a few notes there's a pulsating noise coming from the speakers which shouldn't be there. It sounds like a rapid heartbeat or something. It's not due to any manual effects or anything, because it's not there until I change the Output Device or Input Device.

If I export the file as a .wav, the pulsating noise is on the recording.

Sometimes the pulsating noise comes and goes on its own, and I don't know what I've done to make it come or go. But I can always recreate it by changing the setting for Output Device or Input Device. Heck, my system speakers pop when I simply launch Garageband. And they pop when I change the Output Device or Input Device settings back and forth.

I do have a third-party interface installed - and I installed it before I tested Garageband, so we (that is: tech support and I) don't know if it's causing this issue in Garageband or not. But tech support checked the info for my interface and it didn't send up any red flags. The above-described issue happens in Garageband when this interface is not connected. Nothing is connected.

Anyone else encounter this? Maybe this is related to the overall speaker popping issues and Apple should know about it.

Who's complaining? I'm asking about an issue which I wonder if anyone else is having and which therefore maybe Apple should know about. How awful of me! I don't know if you're moderator or what, but if you think I'm the first person to do this then you should probably look at the zillions of other posts in this forum in which people do the exact same thing.

As I said in my post, I mistakenly posted this in the MacBook Pro section, too, and received an equally-condescending reply.

It's my own fault. I should have had better sense than to post something in an online forum.

I don't care anymore. Someone can delete this thread and my username.

FYI: Yes, I know I'm not speaking to Apple. I'm already in contact with tech support, as I alluded to in my post. I made the post to see if other users are experiencing the same issue. Again, I wholeheartedly acknowledge that I'm a terrible person for having done so.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
