Cannot Delete Disabled Email Account

Hello,

After leaving old school district, my school google account was disabled. As a result of this, I cannot delete the email from my iPhone 8. When I go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Gmail, the option is to delete the email is grayed out. The only thing that I can do is to re-enter the password. When I enter the (correct) password, it says that my account was disabled or deleted by the domain. As a result of this, the mail app on my phone is basically stuck .

I have had this problem for years now and would really like to find a solution. Any help is appreciated.

if you are the original owner, take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store.

Can you tap the > on the right side of the account and turn Mail off (slide to the left)? Then hit the back arrow at the top. Does the account show as Inactive?

I haven't tried yet, but I don't think it would help, because this same issue had occurred on my former phone(iPhone 5) and still is on my current phone. Also, the email is attached to my iCloud and factory resets don't really effect iCloud stuff.
