Running a 2020 Mac min through a late 2013 retina Mac Book pro.

So I’m using a 2013 retina Mac book pro which has gotten very slow on 8gb ram. Use it for professional photo editing no video. Put my money into my camera equip not my laptop. Was wondering if I bought a new Mac mini and maxed out the specs could I run it through my Mac book?

Its small enough to throw in my laptop back I’m never far from a power outlet for serious editing anyway. And man that power would do the job. Thanks
