To confirm, you’re following a cellular plan registration procedure from your carrier that’s akin to the following?

Does the QR code shown in the following article scan, following the steps in this article?

Scan a QR code with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


If the QR code scans, contact your carrier.

If the QR code doesn’t scan, check the lens for crud, and then contact Apple or your preferred hardware repair provider.

Neha,

Thank You for answering the questions. From the error message, it appears that your iPhone is able to scan the QR code however it is having difficulty validating with Airtel to activate the data plan.

My recommendation is that you contact AirTel again and have them walk you through the setup while you are on the phone with them (from another phone). This will eliminate all the time and troubleshooting on your part.

  1. Which iPhone are you using?
  2. Which iOS version are you using?
  3. Which carrier gave you the instructions to activate the eSIM and provided the QR code?
  4. Which error message are you seeing when attempting to scan the QR code?
  5. Have you contacted the carrier on this issue?

Just need some more details so that we can try and guide you in the right direction. Thanks.
