cloud on my iOS device

I have a subscription of 50GB storage on cloud but my phone keeps on telling me that i do not have enough storage and i should delete apps and large videos in order for me to have space on my phone. and 80% of my apps have been offloaded. i have deleted a few apps but still i do not have enough space. i can not take pictures. How does this thing work? Why am i buying more storage if i have to delete apps?

The problem might be, that you can't delete photos and videos on your phone, if you use iCloud Photos, since this will delete the photos in iCloud as well.

However, you can copy your data from iCloud or your phone to your computer and delete it afterwards, to gain more are space on your phone.
