Missing "Home Sharing"

I always Synch my iPhone with my PC after adding songs. All Playlists on the PC are available on the iPhone iTunes (Apple) app.

I recently added more than one Playlists in the normal manner.

But after Syching I cannot find any of the new Playlists on the iPhone because a new "Home Sharing" must be present.

Yesterday I tried another option. I added three songs from the Store to my PC, then immediatly performed the Sych. The new folders were visible. Not sure why adding songs would correct the problem.

But this AM, I opened the iPhone app and the Home Sharing was not visible. I decided to open the PC Itunes app and the Home Sharing immediatly appeared on my iPhone.

What's going on? I have used the iPhone app for year and never needed the Home Sharing option

thank you

Home Sharing is used to share your library from your computer to other computers or devices on the same local network. It is not involved in syncing devices. It only works while iTunes is running. If new playlists aren't syncing to your device see Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support and review your sync selections.
