how to make a previously paired bluetooth item stop showing up on my bluetooth list. going through steps to forget the device didn't work, i even did steps to do it in safe mode incase my phone was jailbroken and it didn't work, please help.

If, when you tap the "i" and forget them, they come back, I'd suggest resetting the headphones according to the manufacturer's directions.
it is a pair of old headphones. I do see the option to forget the device, i click on forget device and it seems to work taking it off the list but the very next time i open my bluetooth on the settings screen there it is again
What type of item is this that you cannot remove by forgetting the device? If you tap on the blue (i) to the right of the device name, you do not see an option to Forget the device?
When you say it's on the screen, is it at the top under "My Devices" or at the bottom under "Other Devices"?
Do you actually have these headsets? Are they turned on and in range of the phone?

There is no "safe mode" on the iPhone. What are you talking about?
It is at the top under my devices. I do still have headphones but they are powered off so should not be communicating
It's at top under my devices, it's the Randy Heard's headphones one. I have them but they are powered off and not communicating
