"Reminders" doesn't work any more.
The only message I hear is "Excuse me. Reminder."
The actual text you punch in should follow that greeting.

It worked in Mojave, but Catalina has messed it up.

Change Speech preferences for accessibility on Mac - Apple ...
Done that with no success. I think the problem is Reminder>Edit>Speech>Start Speaking - I can't get Start Speaking to highlight, therefore I can't select it...
What a laugh. I actually did get >Start Speaking to highlight, but after I selected it the system voice read the entire thread -
