Verizon email stopped working

iPhone 11 pro. Using mail app to access gmail and Verizon (aol) email addresses in addition to iCloud email. Verizon email error message now says pop.verizon.net server not working.. Verizon (aol) tech help wants to charge a fee to diagnose. Anybody have similar problem and know the fix. iPad email not working either. Thank you
