Wireless headphones compatibility with iwatch

Hi, I have a series 5 iwatch and JLab wireless headphones.

I’m able to use the wireless headphones to listen to music and podcasts on my watch. I’ve even been able to return a FaceTime call through my watch and the sound came through the wireless headphones, however if I try to call someone using the watch, I can’t use the headphones to take the call.

Is that expected behaviour or should I be able to use my wireless headphones to take calls from my watch?

thanks

Hello Mem_Gen,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that you're wanting to know if you should be able to use Bluetooth headphones with your Apple Watch to make a phone call.

The best answer to this is that you may be able to. When working with Bluetooth headphones their functionality can vary by model. Since you're able to make a FaceTime call, you may be able to place a phone call also.  Be sure that you're following these steps when making the call: Make phone calls on Apple Watch. Or these when you're answering a call: Answer phone calls on Apple Watch. Both articles show how to adjust the volume while on a call, including how to mute a call.

For more specifics about your headphones, you'll want to reach out to the manufacturer for their assistance: Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds - JLab Audio

All the best!
