aux adapter (dongle) static, white noise, when audio playing thru wired headphones

When I plug my aux adapter (dongle) into my phone and use my wired headphones, every time there is audio playing, there is a background static or white noise terribly distracting . I really need this fixed and dont want to get rid of my high quality wired headphones.... all my devices and products are brand new and I've already cleaned for debris many times and plugged in firmly. I also know the headphones do not make static noise on other devices when not using the dongle as well.

The following steps may help you to isolate the behavior:

Test using the same adapter and headphones with a different audio source to see if the issue is isolated to your iPhone.
Test using your iPhone and headphones with a different adapter to see if the behavior isolated to your adapter.

Is this behavior occurring with the Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter from Apple? If so, and if the issue is isolated to the adapter, then I suggest seeking service for the adapter: Get Support
