So I've talked to a few of the apple "help" people to help me get into this phone I was just given , but no luck.. my phone's stuck on activation lock and I can't access or set up my new phone at all, would just like to finally be able to get into my phone .. I don't understand why it's been so difficult ..?and if it's even possible to unlock and access this phone still?

There is no way that you can get into this iPhone unless the original owner shares the Apple ID and password with you. If you are lucky you can get into this iPhone if they (owner) accidentally remove the device from their apple ID.
You may not find it helpful, but it is accurate.
You can't use that phone without the cooperation of the owner of the account it's locked with.
Means you need to acquire legal iPhones not from shady sources.

Neither we (just users like you) nor Apple can help you, sorry.
Activation lock can be removed only by the previous owner, with the credentials that were used to activate that iPhone. Without those credentials, that device is useless to you.
