Xs foggy camera

Hi, I was in the bath tub, and I had my phone on the edge of the tub, and it slid in. Before it hit the bottom (not an expression that is in a literal way) I caught it, and got it out of the tub. I went to my bedroom, and the camera was fine but the front facing camera was showing a foggy picture, and if I look at the lens it is foggy with water droplets. Why is this? With any other phone even the non waterproof models it wouldn’t do this. So why is my water resistant phone doing this? The phone had about the same amount of time as being splashed by water. The p
