Have you let the battery charge fully over night and then reset the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
You have a 90 day warranty on all repair work.
When you hold the option key and click the BATT icon in the upper right menu bar, what is the Condition:
Anything but normal needs to be serviced—yes—take it back.
If Condition : Normal
Describe more fully what it means "it works no differently" ?
