Signing out of device after updating Apple ID E-mail address?

Hi guys,


I want to sell an ipad I no longer use, the only problem is the apple ID I have been using on this device is (ex) Natalie5@gmail.com. I updated the Apple ID e-mail address a few months back to NatalieSmith@gmail.com, however the ipad was still signed in using the Natalie5@gmail address so now I cant sign out of my icloud because it is requiring that I enter my password ie. sign out of Natalie5@gmail when Natalie5@gmail is no longer an existing Apple ID. When i put in the correct password for the updated NatalieSmith ID (which is essentially the same icloud account) it gives me an error.


How do I sign out of the Natalie5@gmail account so I can sell the ipad??? I've also tried unlinking the device from the account but it still wants me to officially sign put using a password.

Help!

If necessary, if you are the original owner, take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store.
