iMessage issue

To whom it may concern,


I recently changed mobile provider & ported over my original number. All other aspects of my phone have carried over my old number except iMessage. A new number is now showing up for my iMessages whereas I am receiving calls & whatsapp messages no problem to my old number. I have contacted the provider directly about this issue but it appears my number has successfully ported over from their perspective. Please advise as to what I can do as I would really like to have my old number back.

Sounds like they put a temporary number on the SIM when they first got you the iPhone. Try signing out of iMessage and FaceTime, then power cycle the iPhone. After the iPhone comes back on, go into Settings and turn iMessage and FaceTime back on and check to see if your correct phone number appears.
