How do I change my bookstore region

I just tried to get a book on the App Store and received an error saying 'Your account is not valid for use in the French store. You must switch to the UK store before purchasing.'

As you can guess I'm currently in France though my App Store, iTunes Store etc. is all set to UK, so having my bookstore in UK is exactly what I want - why doesn't it switch me there or put me there by default, like everything else - Weird!!

Is this a bug or something?

I went to try to change my iTunes Store (which is already on UK) but it said I had to cancel my subscriptions (also already on UK) before I could change the region - to UK, which it is already, except for the ****Bookstore

Is this sounding like its getting frustrating? Because it is!

Any help would be appreciated.

If I'm understanding correctly, you are having some trouble with purchasing a book from the U.K. iTunes Store, while located in France and are receiving a message that you must change your country or region in order to do so. Being able to have access to the iTunes Store for downloading content is a great feature, and I will be glad to assist.

Unfortunately, you will have to be located in the U.K. in order to connect and download the content.

Many thanks for the info.

I can understand what you say but it does seem inconsistent. While in France I am able to access and purchase/download content from theUK iTunes and App stores and it works fine. Why is Bookstore different ... and there seems to be nowhere to change region on that specifically.

Very weird.

Thanks for following up. Some types of content might not be available in your new country or region. In order to have full access to U.K. content you will need to be located in the U.K.
