In Addition: I'm using iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017) with Catalina 10.15.3
Why is this an issue?
Unused RAM is wasted RAM, letting the Mac handle swap should involve no user interaction.
Typically from the battery icon drop down you can see the high demand apps in use.
Otherwise you can use the Activity Monitor.app to see Memory

The reason for asking is that the SWAP memory in use, is not being released and only growing...and therefore the systems performance is going down the drain, unless I reboot the system every now and then.
Activity Monitor I have used already, but that does not show the apps that are keeping the SWAP memory in use...
I do not think a battery icon is available on an iMac...is there?
