Upgrade to IOS 13.3, hotspot won't connect to internet

Since I upgraded my Apple iPhone 7 plus to 13.3, my hotspot no longer works. My hp laptop recognizes the hotspot and connects but if I try to access the internet, I get an error for ' no internet connectivity'. I have spent hours on the phone with Verizon and Apple to no avail. Apple insist it's not their issue but this only started with the last Apple iPhone software update to 13.3. I can connect fine and have internet access with my husbands android phone.

I have tried all of the recommendations that have been posted: renaming hotspot, making sure its discoverable, resetting networks, etc...

Any other suggestions?
