Mac OS 10.6.8-Need to download 10.7 w/AppStore Redeem Code--No place to accept terms and conditions

Struggling to update an 2009 MacPro from 10.6.8 to 10.7 using a purchased 10.7 download from the Mac App Store.

Can get to the App Store, (after some work) found the "Redeem" link, but with 10.6.8's Mac App Store, there's no place to accept terms and conditions.

Can I use a different machine with a later OS to:

A: accept the terms and conditions and

B: download a DMG file or that I can move to the Mac I need to update!

There's a whole lot of "sheesh!"ing going on!

Help is appreciated!! :)

NOTE: This was just tried with a MacPro running 10.10.5, with the same results! Sheesh!

Why are you wanting to upgrade to Mac OS X Lion.

You can upgrade directly to Mac OS X El Capitan for free,

Make sure your Snow Leopard installation is fully updated,

back up your mac, etc, etc, etc.

How do you know they won't work in El Capitan.

What is this software.

If you are finding it difficult to install Lion then do you think it is going to

be any easier to install Mountain Lion.

Eau Rouge,

The point is that my customer paid Apple 20 bucks to access 10.7.

Apple has a problem. There’s no way to redeem the code. See picture.

If you can help with that, it would be appreciated.

Otherwise, please understand that there are some devices that still use... even depend on older software, and can’t enable the software to get “too hip for the room,” or they won’t work.

We have other software needed for a perfectly fine capture device of similar vintage, and need to use 10.7 to use the software downloadable from this manufacturer.

We’ve had difficulty accessing THAT software, too... so if I seem a bit cranky responding to the tone and substance of your more curious and insistent, not particularly helpful with the stated problem response... understand thr circumstances. And time spent drafting a less than brusque reply.

My customer has been down a week after the boot hard drive failed, which wasn’t backed up. I’m trying to help him remotely from California. He’s in Ohio.

Its been a lot of “take a step forward, go sideways a block, and wait to go further.”

and after a dozen delays due to various issues , we’re where we are now. Stalled. Tired. Cranky. Wanting help. Not a lecture.

Thanks. Going to take a nap now.
