AOL Mail and Apple Mail: totally frustrating

I have three AO: mail accounts, and they have all sync'd well over the years into Apple Mail.

They continue to sync in all my ios devices. However, on my MacMini running High Sierra, I can get only one of the three accounts to sync. The other two consistently say "unable to verify username or password." And, yes, if I use the AOL application, I get to my mail with no problem.

I have gone to my Keychain access over 10 times to remove all old passwords. Still no sync.

Is it me, AOL, or High Sierra?

Mac mini, macOS 10.13

OK. Finally found the solution for MacMail on High Sierra. I went to the AOL home page, logged onto the two AOL accounts I was having problems with, and went into the Security section. Then I chose "generate one-time passcode" for the older App -->MacMail, copied it, and when to MacMail Add Account. Used the one-time password, and I was in, problems solved.
