Moving 'Sheets' between Numbers 'Documents'?
Folks: Let me start by saying that the nomenclature in Numbers can be a bit confusing, at least to me. I take 'sheet' to be one of the tabs that are contained within a 'document', which can have one or more 'sheets'.
So: Like Safari, Numbers allows the user to merge all windows, which would combine all sheets in a single document.
My question: Does Numbers allow the user to move, or copy, a single sheet to another document? I've tried copy/paste, and I've tried dragging a tab (or sheet), neither of which produce the desired results. I've tried formulas that refer from one sheet to another; this is a very robust capability in Numbers, but in this usage styling/formats become quite kludgy and not useful. Similarly, simple copy/paste drags formatting irregularly, and so not useful.
To state what I want more clearly:
Say we have two documents, "D" and "G", and that each document has several sheets: perhaps D1, D2, D3, and G1, G2, G3.
Starting with document D, the desired result is D1, G3, for instance; two sheets from different documents, with all formatting preserved.
Any ideas?
