Change Primary Phone Number in Apple ID for iMessage Without Access to Primary Number on Device.
When I send iMessages from my iPhone, they are delivered under the wrong number.
This may be from the original number that came with my SIM, which I immediately ported over to my actual number
When I attempt to de-reregister the old number (*Which Apple identifies as the primary number) from my apple ID, it is trying to send the verification code to this old number - which I don’t have access to on my device.
Any thoughts on how I might fix this? I tried logging out of the iMessage and FaceTime and seeing if I could then delete from my apple account (as per their guidance on the profile page) but that has also not worked.
