lost watch
What is the policy on a lost apple watch? I have reported it as lost and the battery is dead so I can not ping it. Is there anything else I can do besides just sit and wait to see if it's found?

Apple will not replace a lost watch,the best thing you can do is to retrace your steps to where you know that you had the watch last,or hope that somebody finds it.
