Sync screen time across devices

I’m setting up screen time on my sons iPhone and iPad and am wondering if the times sync across the devices?

if he starts something on his phone and switches to his iPad will the time count together?

SCREEN TIME ACROSS DEVICES QUERY I have screen time switched on in my iPhone XS, iPad 2020 and Mac (Big Sur), with share across devices also switched on. Screen time on the iPhone picks up all three devices, but on the iPad and Mac the iPhone is not picked up. Is there some other setting on the iPhone which is preventing this functioning properly? All software is up to date.

screen time if you use the quick-setup on a new device, does the screen time setting stay the same as it did on your previous device ?

Screen Time will synchronize between all devices signed in with the same Apple ID.
