Charger getting hot

Hi

So yesterday my iPhone charging adapter is getting overheated and when I switch to my other adapter from Apple same size and power delivery it also overheats when I charged my iPhone 6 half a year ago it didn’t happen and when I started using my X it suddenly becomes hot. When I first gotten the phone it was completely at a normal heat. So what’s the problem it’s not the Cable I have tested wit a different cable yesterday but still hot?
