Hi there. My iPhone 10 X Max screen goes black while i talk on the phone or listen to the messages on whatsapp. when i finish talking i cant press red button to quit as the screen shows black and is not responding to my touches unless i press the side button which for locking or unlocking the phone.
Can you pls suggest the best way of resolution?

Is there anything (cover or screen protector) that can obstruct or interfere with your proximity sensor? Should be this case, try and remove it.
Or
Your proximity sensor could be faulty. Have you already tried a forced restart of your iPhone?:-> Force restart iPhone – Apple Support
