Why are App Glances not showing up as an option for me to turn on?

I have a banking app installed on my phone and watch.

I followed the instructions to activate Glances so that my 'fast balance' will display on my watch, however, when I select the banking app in the watch app on my phone it only has a toggle to turn on 'Show App on Apple Watch'. It doesn't show a second option to 'turn on Glance' whereas the instructions say to also enable Glances. Is there a way for me to add Glances?
