Well I have an iPhone se and it does not send/accept pictures to my wife’s android unless I use Verizon measage app. It’s the only way we can send pictures and video to each other
wish I could just use the messenger it came with

Do you have cellular data enabled? Do you have MMS messaging enabled in Settings>Messages? Have you checked with Verizon to make sure that your account is properly configured?
I use Verizon and have never had a problem sending pictures to Android users.

I occasionally have this issue with my husband. I think it’s on the Android/Verizon side because I don’t have any issue sending pictures to other iPhone/iMessage users, but occasionally do with large files to/from Android users.

i do have mms messaging on.
What about I message mine is turned off? Do I need something else on?
And I asked Verizon a while back and they couldn’t do anything except use Verizon messaging so they said to ask apple.
Do I reset the phone?
As you're sending to an Android phone, it's irrelevant whether iMessage is on or not.
Do you have cellular data enabled? This is an important question.
Are you having a problem with all Android users? Or just your wife? If the latter, did she ever have an iPhone? Does she have cellular data turned on?
