Upgrade to Catalina - DO NOT DO if you want to keep using some apps

How can we down grade easily from the error of having mistakenly decided to upgrade to Catalina and lose access to many apps? MS is holding hostage my apps until I subscribe to the collaborative version that I DO NOT NEED. Please have a way to revert this version!

If you performed a last Time Machine backup prior to upgrading to Catalina, then you can go back to the previous operating system via booting into Recovery and choosing to Restore from a Time Machine backup. That is the only means to avoid losing your data and applications, unless you cloned your former operating system using Carbon Copy Cloner to and external drive.

If you do not have a Time Machine backup from the previous operating system, then Microsoft offers the single-purchase Office 2019 for Mac, if you have issues with subscription-ware, and which is duly supported on Catalina.
