Frozen Display Horizontal Purple Lines

my MacBook Pro (2015) freezes every time I play it full screen in Safari or ITunes (Apple TV). It gives me horizontal purple lines, does not happen with Google Chrome. Anyone have a clue as to how it can be fixed ?

Hello, macbookperson24.

I understand that you see horizontal purple lines when viewing full-screen content in Safari and iTunes on your MacBook Pro. I’m glad you took the time to post, and I’m so happy to help.

Could you tell me if you have Dark Mode enabled? Does the issue continue if it is disabled? How to use Dark Mode on your Mac

If you boot into safe mode, do the lines still appear? If they do not, are they still present when you boot regularly? Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

NVRAM holds various audio and video settings. Resetting it approaches the issue from a software vantage point. "Settings that can be stored in NVRAM include sound volume, display resolution, startup disk selection, time zone, and recent kernel panic information." Resetting it would be the next step. Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

I hope this helps. Please respond with any updates.

Best Regards.
