Mail Issues

Mail is still opening up randomly. I have tried various thing but nothing works. Since updating to Catalina it has got much worse. I saw some people tried adding new commands somewhere but I don't know how to do that. It is getting very frustrating. Please help.

Managing This from Ever Popping Up:

First, Remove Mail from Login Items

If your Mac is running slow, remove login items and force quit any non-responding items.

To Remove Mail from Login Items:

  1. Go to:  System Preferences > Users & Groups > User Name > Login Items
  2. Select: an Item
  3. Click: the “—“ button
  4. Approve: of the removal in the popup window.

Force Quit Mail when it is in the Way:

  1. Click: the Apple emblem in the Finder bar
  2. Select: Force Quit...
  3. Select: any item ending in “(Nor Responding...)
  4. Click: Force Quit button
