I have recently received an email from Apple stating pIease to verify there are your access will be Iocked for security reason number_ld
then my account was locked and i had to verify some information including my credit card and social security so im not sure if the information that I provided was to Apple or scam email/website
Apple will not ask you for your social security number or credit card info via mail:

You should at least change your Apple ID password:
