Your warranty does not cover accidental damage or breakage - unless you opted for (and purchased) AppleCare+ extended cover for your device.

Your household insurance, if you have any, might cover accidental damage.

Apple's free, limited one-year AppleCare warranty ONLY covers manufacturing defects and issues.

Free, one-year AppleCare DOES NOT cover any user accidental damage or breakage.

IF you purchased extended AppleCare+, then user accidents and damage is covered and a repair or replacement iPad will cost a small fee of $49 U.S.D.

Without the paid, extended AppleCare+, an out-of-warrany user damage cost for repair/replacment device will cost approx. 60% of the iOS device’s original cost.
