IMEI blocked

I can’t get service on my phone but the sim works in other phones. I have been told by Telstra to check the IMEI to see if for some reason it has been blocked. I don’t know why this would be blocked as I bought the phone new from Telstra?

You will have to contact your carrier about that, only they can find out, why your IMEI does not work.


To make sure, that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, with your SIM inserted, don't use any backup, and see, if the the phone can be successfully activated that way.
