IOS 13 & Catalina 10.15 | Iphone not showing in finder

Why is my iPhone not showing in the finder? It was working fine and now while i connect via usb, it just shows the name and disappears!

iphone not showing in finder my iphone Xs suddenly stopped showing in finder on my Imac. Strangely enough the Iphone does show up in the USB port in hardware configuration and it does download photos to the photo app norma;;y. I updated all the software, restarted and relaunched finder with no effect. Finder syncs with ipad no problem so the port and cable are OK. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

iPhone not appearing under Locations in Sidebar in Catalina I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Catalina yesterday. This morning, I plugged in my iPhone running 13.1.2 and it does not appear under Locations in the Sidebar as I understand it is supposed to. I have rebooted both my Mac and iPhone and it still doesn’t appear. Anyone know what I need to do to make this happen?
