I understand you are having some display issues on your MacBook Pro. From the screenshot above, it appears there is some flickering of the display, is that right? Can you provide some additional information about this?
From your description, it seems like you get this flickering when you are using applications like Photoshop that are using a lot of resources. The laptop is open when you see this flickering. What action are you taking just before the flickering occurs? What is triggering the flickering on the screen? How often does this happen? Besides Photoshop and Xcode, what other apps cause your screen to flicker like this? What software are you using to watch 4K video? Have you tried keeping the laptop open when connected to an external display to see if the flickering continues?
Have you tested this without an external monitor connected at all?
