About Apple Color Emoji font

I run an iMac under Catalina 10.15.3. I would like to use AppleColor Emoji font.

I saw they are in the System librairy/Fonts but Fonts Book display only empty square boxes with a question mark.

How to activate this fonts ?

Tom is 100% correct. I don't know why you can't see the emoji's in Font Book however.

You could try "Restore Standard Fonts…" from Font Book's "File" menu.

Very odd! Where are you located?


What you see in font book just doesn't matter that much. Go to Edit > Emoji & Symbols and your Character Viewer should come up which will let you input things from the color emoji font.
