No 6 digit code when manually pairing watch

I’ve reset my watch because the the left and right wrist were backwards and my watch was all screwed up. I unpaired it and now that I’m trying to pair it again it won’t read. When I do it manually it won’t give me the 6 digit code after I “find the device “ plz help. How can I find the code or get it to pair normally?

I have the same question (about the 6 digit code). I had already updated the Apple software before trying to setup a new Apple Watch Series 4. Next installation instruction: "Enter the 6-digit verification code displayed on your Apple Watch." I had a 5-digit code displayed on the watch -- and no keyboard. The watch says "Apple Watch 15388 . . . Use this name to select your Apple Watch for manual pairing." How can I find the code or get it to pair normally?

Restart the phone and watch, phone first.

Tap Pair Apple Watch Manually on your iPhone. Next, tap the "I" button on your Watch"bottom right corner"which will bring up your device's name. Now you will see the watch name on the screen. On your iPhone, tap this name in the Devices list. Next, the Apple Watch will display a six-digit code. On your iPhone, type this code at the prompt. You’ll see the Your Apple Watch Is Paired screen. Now you can restore your Apple Watch from backup or setup as new.
