The Flights Climbed on my Apple Watch has worked fine for over year. In the last month it has been recording outrageous numbers. Today I climbed about 4 flights of stairs and it reads 127 flights climbed. I wouldn’t care about it all that much but it is over inflating my move calories

Exactly the same issue I have; worked perfectly for a year an in Jan/Feb it started counting ridiculous numbers for flights of stairs. I tried the advice on another thread to turn off both Watch and iPhone, which unfortunately didn't work. And then to calibrate my watch, which also unfortunately didn't work. Did you fieryjack's recommendation? If so, did it work? Thanks!
Just an update after working with Apple Support yesterday. I unpaired and re-paired my watch, which unfortunately didn't resolve the problem. Now I need to figure out how to get the names of my contacts back on the texts on my watch since it only shows their telephone numbers :(
Might be a problem with the barometric altimeter settings becoming corrupt and they need to
be reset by unpairing and re-pairing the watch.
