Live Photo

Hello, the only way to have your photo became a Live Photo is if you had the Live Photo button on when you were taking the photo. Below is a photo showing you when you have the Live Photo mode on. Hope this helped, also if you edit the photo with mark up (drawing on it), it will turn off Live Photo.

Do you mean, you saw a Live Photo with a Picture-in-Picture effect or similar?

There is no Live Effect in Photos iOS that could do this. But if you create a video clip with a Picture -in-Picture effect or inserted virtual reality objects, using a video editor, you can use any of the apps, that turn a video into a Live Photo. I am using Into Live Pro (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/intolive-live-wallpapers/id1061859052) on my iPhone to turn video clips into Live Photos to use a lock screen animation.

This way I can have a cute dinosaur growling as a lock screen image:

• I took the video of the street with Monster Park (‎Monster Park - AR Dino World on the App Store), which inserted the dino walking down the street and save the video clip to Photos.
• Then I opened the video clip in Into Live to create the Live Photo from it.

Or let the dino dance on a fountain:

The same will work with any virtual reality application, that lets you save video clips.
