Save Live Photos as Video Missing ios16

It’s still there just in a different place …to save one Live Photo as a video click on the 3dots top right ….to save multiple Live Photos click 3dots bottom right and then save as a video ….hope this helps

The "Save as Video" option will not be available, if one of the selected Live Photos has a Live effect applied. In that case you have to revert the Live Photos to the original, before you can save and stitch them as a video. It is pity, but it will not work with a Bounce or Loop effect applied.

I thought the save as video of multiple Live Photos had gone too but it’s still there !!! just in a different place …to save one Live Photo as a video you click on the 3 dots top right and to save multiple Live Photos as a video you click on the 3 dots bottom right and save as a video there …taaadaaah !!! It was so hard to find, I assumed it was gone. The way to do it now from ios 16 is NOT from the share screen, but from the photos grid view and hit 'Select' at top right, then select a set/sequence of live photos, then tap the three dots at the bottom right of screen - this is the menu where Save as Video resides when it is 2+ live photos. SO FRUSTRATING.

I know save a live as video is inconveniently available via the 3 dots but previously I could mark 2 or 3 live to save as one video file how can I do this now, why do Apple make things worse with upgrades?

Go to photos app(not camera) pick your album go to top right “select” then select Live Photos, beware if you select just one non live pic amongst your selections you will then not get the “save as video” option in the three dots menu at bottom right, definitely works although it’s much more of a palaver than the original method.

That’s not a solution. Because the UX in previous iOS versions allowed SELECTing multiple Live Photos, and then SAVE AS VIDEO which timecoded and stitched them together seamlessly. What you described is a single photo, and not the requested action.

If you are referring to actions menu then the save as video no longer there, you can save one live via the 3 dots menu but not multiple live, looks like save live replaced with create watch face, ok if you have Apple Watch maybe but no use to me

Yeah what’s the deal? That’s a great feature! And I don’t know about you, but when I click the three dots where it used to be, now, the only option I have around saving / converting to a video takes me to an app where I have to pay for the conversion…

Tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the Live Photo, the option will appear

Same thing…Select multiple photos, three dots will instead appear at the bottom right. Save as video. It’s just that the options are now in a new menu…

If you want to create a video from more than 2 live pictures, just select the pictures, tap, and hold on to them. A menu will appear with the option to Save As.

I think is completely gone for ios 16.1 really pity thing.
