music played in my phone qont update the play count on the device as well as when synched to the itunes on my mac
tried all the possible steps , still no luck .. issue started after i disabled apple music

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble with your play count updating. I'd be happy to share information that may help.
First, on your Mac, under iTunes > Preferences, > General, ensure that "Use Listening History" is checked.
Also, make sure that "Sync playback information across all devices" is checked under iTunes > Preferences > Store.
If you have re-enabled Apple Music, on your iPhone, make sure that "Sync Library" is turned on at Settings > Music: Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music.
If those settings are all correct, then turn off "Sync Library" and "Use Listening History." Restart both devices, and re-enable both "Sync Library" and Use Listening History."
