Applicatons are not present in the Finder Folder using Catalina

Hello,

I have a 2016 model 27" iMac, now running Catalina, that I recently upgraded to. Applications are missing in the Finder Folder, so it's a bit inconvenient not being able to find things so quickly and easily as has been the case over so many years before.

What is the 'wisdom' behind this move and is there a way to re establish the Applications listed in the Finder Folder? Any positive advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Peter

Sorry what? Applications are still in the Applications folder just as they have always been.

If you mean you don't see "Applications" in the Finder Sidebar, check Finder > Preferences > Sidebar.
