How do I export a png image with transparent background in fcpx?

If the project where the frame you want to export has transparency it should export the file with transparency. One thing, if you have default ProRes rendering, and the project is rendered you will lose the transparency. Either change rendering to PR4444 or trash your render files and switch off background rendering.
