New iPhone won't update

It won’t update new phone ?what do I do

Well I figured it out I had to shut the phone off to up date. Well I guess this is how you learn a new phone. You should seen me trying to shut it off lol. Have a great tks for help

Hello Linda,

I am going to ask a couple of questions to which you can answer to the best of your ability. This will help us answer your original question properly.

You said that your iPhone is an "apple xr 11". There is no such model. Please open the Settings app then choose About and then tell us the Model Name and Software Version.
Are you attempting to update your iPhone by going to Settings-->>General-->>Software Update ? If YES then what are you seeing? Are you able to update from there?

ios is the operating system for the iPhone. The current version is 13.3.1. If you are on that version, then you are up to date and you can’t update any further. Go to settings, general, about, and see what software version you have.
