iPad Pro Smart Keyboard not working in Chrome or Safari

My iPad Pro (3rd Generation) Smart Keyboard works with all apps except the browsers Chrome and Safari. Any suggestions how to fix the issue? Thanks.

I'm sorry, I cannot test Chrome on the iPad, I do not have that browser. What happens in Safari? I cannot seem to get any kind of behavior like that in Safari, and there are very few settings for the hardware keyboard in Settings>General>Keyboard>Hardware Keyboard.

I'm using an iPad Pro 11 with iOS 13.3.1, and mine is working fine with Safari. Have you tried removing it from the iPad. Restarting the iPad and trying again? If not, and if it doesn't work, try a force restart on the iPad. See this, Restart iPad - Apple Support

And it does this when you are attempting to type in the address bar of Chrome or Safari? Do you have any accessibility features turned on for the iPad? That reminds me of how Windows acts if you hold down the Alt key and it shows keyboard shortcuts for commands in the browser, but I wouldn't know a duplicate method for iOS. I'll check in a little bit when I get off work. I don't have my iPad here to test with.
