Block text messages

How do you block incoming text messages from individuals not programmed to your phone?

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Once you receive a text from them- open the text - click on the icon at top then hit i - then click the arrow next to the blue phone icon - block caller.

Or settings - message - add new - enter number
