Keynote - how to blur an image and text?
I want to tease out content that lives all on one slide. I want to blur out portions of the content, but still show there is content there. How to lightly blur on keynote?

There is not a blur tool in Keynote, a work around is to open the image in Preview, open the Colour Adjustment tool
and move the sharpness slider all the way to the lefts ave then repeat if required

Ideas if it is text and not an image?
For text, use an image editing application, GIMP is free open source software: https://www.gimp.org
In GIMP, type your text, then go to Tools > Paint > Blur to apply a blur filter:
