IOS 13.3.1 Broke Bluetooth

My iPhone 7 Plus had been working fine until very recently. I can no longer make it connect to ANY Bluetooth device. My old iPad Air which is at IOS 12.x connects to the same devices just fine. I get no error message - just no music or voice in the Bluetooth device. Have tried turning off the iPhone and back on but it didn’t fix it. Same exact problem with my wife’s iPhone XS Max. And hers used to work, too.

I have to assume this was broken with IOS 13.3.1 - how can we get this corrected?

If the Bluetooth devices were working on these devices pre-iOS 13.3.1, do a forced restart (which is recommended after an iOS update) by doing what is in this link --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

If that doesn't help you, do as Johnathan suggested and forget the Bluetooth Devices on your iPhone, the pair them again using the pairing directions from the manufacturer.
